Founded in 2005 and based in the Brooklyn borough of New York City, Derby City Productions is a creative organization focused on providing only the highest quality artistic products. We are proud to credit our organization’s moniker to the home of the world famous Kentucky Derby and countless other American icons: Louisville, Kentucky. While, of course, never confining ourselves artistically to working exclusively on projects affiliated with the Bluegrass State, our work, admittedly, does often strive to promote the broadened exposure and overall cultural development of what we think is America’s most underrated region (and its surrounding areas). But, regardless of the nature of the project, we at DCP are committed to both developing and providing only the highest quality creative work in a wide assortment of media, including, but not limited to, visual arts, live theatre, film, video, music, and photography.

Interested in being a part of Derby City Productions?

Are you from Kentucky and tired of everyone asking if you’ve ever dated a cousin? Does it annoy you that when you state your birthplace, your co-workers' first reaction is to say, “But, where’s your accent?” Then help us bring arts and exposure to the Bluegrass State.

DCP is currently planning its first feature film venture, which will be shot entirely on location in Louisville, Kentucky in 2009. SPLIT is an off-beat romantic comedy that tells the tale of Cassie’s fall into a common trap for mid-western girls. She thinks she has to be married by the age of 30 or live the rest of her life as a social outcast. With just one crazy month in her world of family, friends, and amateur bowling, she somehow needs find herself a husband!

DCP is currently soliciting investors and sponsors for its first feature film, SPLIT. To learn more or to become involved with this production, please contact us at info@derbycityproductions.com.
